As most of those who joined us on this happy occasion, had been at Blencowe Hall last year, few introductions were necessary. Fourteen of us met at Tribes Hill, Walderton at about noon on Sunday June 19th and it wasn't till 7pm that the last visitor took to the road; surely a sure sign of success. A glass of 'sparkling' on the terrace in the sun, followed by lunch and tea with a delicious cake cooked by Tina Blencowe, made sure no one went away hungry. Between all this there were opportunities to view CDs of the 2007 reunion at Marston and last year's reunion at Blencowe Hall. Blencowe memorabilia was on show and CDs and Blencowe Books were on sale. Jill Dudbridge, assisted by Tricia Wales, gave a souvenir copy of Blencowe snippets to all to take away with them.

As someone who has now organised two 3-day Reunions, at Marston in 2007 and last year at Blencowe Hall, I can just add that a mini or day reunion is so much easier, and could be thought of more often. The main drawback is that members may have to come long distances for a few hours get together. At this mini Reunion, some came from as far away as Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Shropshire. This was much appreciated by us and those who live nearby.
