Frances Blane Blencowe 1913-2012

Frances Blane Blencowe 98, of Irvington, died on June 30 2012. The daughter the late William Watkins and Flora Lipscomb Blane, Frances was born in Halifax VA. She was the widow of Thomas Henry Blencowe.
Frances earned her associate degree from Virginia Intermont College and her undergraduate degree from William and Mary College. She was a Librarian for the Henrico County Public Schools for 20 years after which she became a world traveller.
Our sympathy extends to sons, William Thomas & Jackie Blencowe and John Alfred & Helen Blencowe; a brother, Watkins Blane, 4 grandchildren, Joseph Blencowe, Todd Blencowe, John Blencowe & Beth Mabus & 2 great grandchildren.
Frances, who was very fond of her BFA family, contributed to "The Book" with a chapter about the Lynchburg Virginia Immigrants from Towcester.
