Found! A death notice of Mary Anne Blencowe who married Robert Connell and then John Emeny, in the Melbourne Argus:
EMENY- On the 24th June 1932 at her residence, Church Street, Camperdown, beloved wife of John Emeny, and loving mother of Frances (Mrs Donald Campbell), Alice (Mrs Roylance), John deceased and Lily (Mrs Wilson).
It doesn't shed much light on John Alfred Connell except that he was deceased by 1932. It indicates another daughter, Mrs. Lily Wilson and that Francess Honor Connell married a Donald Campbell.
