Dear Cousins,
The Royal Wedding was a spectacular occasion. There have been a few Blencowe brushes with royalty with some of you related to Prince William via descent from Edward III. Other family members are related via the Spencer family of Diana, which means some of you are related to Wills through both of his parents.
Our "Brick Wall" segment has proved popular for people researching earlier generations. In future editions there will also be an "In search of descendants" feature for members looking for living relatives. I have had to reduce it to two requests due to space limitations in this edition.
It is only a few weeks to the mini reunion in the south of England. Peter and Anna Blencowe's home is a lovely setting for the summer get together. Depending on numbers, I can envisage a group photo opportunity between the magnificent portraits of Sir John and Lady Anne Blencowe for the next newsletter. Have a wonderful time, I wish I could be with you all.
