3.00 pm: Visit to Weston Hall.

(Those interested may like to read the article on page 10 entitled ‘ The Blencowe - Sitwell Connection.’ There is a maximum of 30 for this tour, followed by tea. Monday July 9th at 12.30 pm: Buffet lunch at the Dragon School, Bardwell Rd, Oxford. This will be held in a marquee in front of the main school building.

3.00 pm. Visit to Oriel College, Oxford. Anthony Blencowe was Provost of Oriel College from 1574 to 1618. The next newsletter will contain more about the Blencowe - Oriel Connection.

So far about 30-40 members of the family have expressed interest in coming to the reunion on either one or both days. There will still be opportunities for others if they care to contact me by one of the methods below.

There will be a small charge on both days to cover lunches, admission charges etc. Details of these will be sent out in May to those who have expressed interest. Transport and accommodation must be arranged by those attending.

I should warn all planning to join us that we clash on the Sunday with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Therefore the roads may be very busy and accommodation limited.

Others who are interested and who have not already been in touch with me on tel: 023 9263 1066 . E-mail: peter.blencowe @ homecall.co.uk
